Cloud Operations ( GCP & Kubernetes )

Job Description

• Perform 24x7 monitoring and operational support for GCP and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments.

• Monitor system alerts, applications, clusters, nodes, and supporting cloud services.

• Perform incident triage and troubleshooting for Kubernetes, application, network, storage, and infrastructure issues.

• Handle incident escalation and coordinate with Cloud, Network, Security, Application, and Development teams.

• Perform routine health checks, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of GKE environments.

• Manage Kubernetes resources such as Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and StatefulSets.

• Support CI/CD deployment activities and troubleshoot deployment or release issues.

• Monitor platform performance, capacity, availability, and resource utilization.

• Perform RCA and prepare incident reports for major incidents.

• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and shift handover reports.

• Ensure operational activities comply with SLA, SLO, and company procedures.

• Work in a shifting schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cloud Operations, IT Infrastructure, System Operations, or related roles.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes/GKE.

• Experience in 24x7 monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge of Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Terraform and/or Helm is preferred.

• Familiar with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.

• Familiar with Linux, networking, IAM/RBAC, and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience with CI/CD and production deployment is a plus.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willing to work on a shifting schedule (24x7), including weekends and public holidays.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
