Kindergarten Principal

Description:
Leading and managing the Kindergarten unit by ensuring a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and wellbeing-focused learning environment that supports early childhood growth.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and supervise Kindergarten teachers in delivering play-based, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning.

• Monitor student wellbeing, development, classroom routines, and overall learning experiences within the Kindergarten unit.

• Coordinate daily Kindergarten operations, including classroom activities, parent communication, and student-related concerns.

• Plan, review, and support Kindergarten programs, school readiness activities, and early years initiatives.

• Conduct teacher observations, evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to support teaching quality.

• Ensure early childhood pedagogy, wellbeing practices, and student support strategies are implemented effectively.

• Collaborate with Kindergarten teachers, School Psychologist, SHIELD Team, parents, and school leadership to support student development.

• Prepare program plans, unit reports, teacher evaluation documentation, developmental records, and parent communication records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.

• Experience in Kindergarten or early childhood education leadership is strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of child development, early childhood pedagogy, student wellbeing, and play-based learning and waldorf framework

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and parent communication skills.

• Models care, respect, patience, responsibility, and alignment with the school’s values.
