Yukerja Summary

The Technical Consultant role at Harris is curated from Himalayas (category Teknologi & IT). This role is marked as remote — check timezone and location requirements on the official listing. Yukerja.com is not the employer — applications are handled on the official source site.

Force Information Systems Limited (FIS), a Harris Computer company, is currently recruiting for a Technical Consultant on a permanent, remote-working basis.

You'll be hands-on across the full delivery lifecycle: scoping customer requirements, configuring and deploying our products into customer environments, integrating with third-party systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and helping shape our roadmap based on what you see in the field.

This role is genuinely varied. One week you might be on-site with a police force walking through a deployment plan; the next you might be writing SQL upgrade scripts, debugging an API integration, or working alongside our developers on a new feature. You'll work across our existing estate (VB6, .NET Framework, SQL Server) and our modernisation efforts (.NET Core, Node.js, Azure).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical implementations of our products into customer environments, including on-premise and Azure-hosted deployments

  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers during onboarding, integration, and post-go-live support

  • Configure, install, and upgrade our software stack — IIS, SQL Server, gMSA, certificates, and networking

  • Build and maintain integrations between our products and customer systems via REST APIs and other interfaces

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues across legacy and modern codebases, working closely with the development team

  • Produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, and customer-facing implementation guides

  • Contribute to product improvements based on customer feedback and field experience

Essential Skills

  • Strong SQL Server experience — writing complex queries, troubleshooting performance, schema design, and upgrade scripts

  • Solid .NET background (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.x and/or .NET Core)

  • Experience working with and consuming REST APIs

  • Confident in customer-facing situations — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations professionally

  • Practical experience deploying and configuring software in Windows Server environments (IIS, networking, certificates, service accounts)

  • A diagnostic mindset — comfortable digging into logs, traces, and unfamiliar code to find root causes

Desirable Skills

  • Azure experience — virtual networks, NSGs, App Services, SQL Azure, or similar

  • Node.js / TypeScript exposure (we have services running on this stack)

  • Legacy technology experience — VB6, classic ASP, Crystal Reports — would be a significant advantage given our codebase

  • Familiarity with regulated, public sector, or law enforcement environments

  • PowerShell or other automation/scripting skills

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
