Technology Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Technology Officer to join xCurrency Hubs ID in Jakarta on a contract basis, which may develop into a permanent role in the future. This is a strategic position within our Information and Communication Technology function, focusing on Help Desk and IT Support services. As our Technology Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and providing essential IT support to our organization - mainly setting up our local Cloud Data Center.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Manage and maintain IT systems, infrastructure, and help desk ticketing systems to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including troubleshooting hardware failures, software conflicts, and connectivity issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications across the organisation.

• Provide user training and support documentation to help staff maximise their use of technology tools and systems.

• Help setting up our local Data Center and Data Recovery Center (Cloud).

• Collaborate with other IT team members (Head Office) and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in IT support, help desk operations, or a similar technical support role.

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications and sufficient knowledge regarding Cloud Data Centers.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and peripheral issues.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically through technical issues.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate, or equivalent qualifications (preferred).

• Experience with IT security protocols and best practices.

• Proficiency in English is a must, and conversational to fluent in Mandarin preferred.

We believe our product can empower local remittance companies to send funds to China more securely, efficiently, and transparently. We are currently in the process of obtaining our Remittance License here in Indonesia.
