About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and structured Accounts & Tax Executive based in Batam. This role combines daily financial data processing, bookkeeping, and accounts handling with cross-border Singapore Tax and GST compliance.

If you have high attention to detail, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and working knowledge of Singapore’s IRAS tax framework, we would love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Transaction Processing & Bookkeeping (Data Entry)

• Accurately process and record daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Enter purchase invoices, sales receipts, expense claims, and vendor bills into the accounting system (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).

• Maintain clean, organized digital filing systems for all invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documentation.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify transaction details for accuracy.

2. Singapore Tax & GST Compliance

• Prepare, calculate, and assist in filing quarterly Singapore GST returns in alignment with IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) guidelines.

• Assist in gathering and organizing financial data for Singapore Corporate Income Tax preparation (Form C / Form C-S).

• Ensure proper documentation and tax treatment for cross-border transactions between Indonesia and Singapore.

• Stay updated on relevant Singapore tax regulations and GST updates.

3. Reporting & Operational Support

• Assist in month-end accounts closing and basic journal entry preparation.

• Support audit preparations by providing complete schedules and supporting receipts/documents.

• Perform routine administrative and financial reporting tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax administration.

• Singapore Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge or prior experience handling Singapore GST regulations and IRAS filings is required.

• Language Skills (Mandatory): Fluency in Mandarin OR English (written and spoken) is required to communicate effectively with regional stakeholders and management.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar).

• Key Attributes: High accuracy in data entry, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and reliable in meeting deadlines.

Location: Must be based in or willing to work in Batam.
