The Import and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s procurement processes, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of tiles, mosaics, and related materials. This role requires strategic planning, supplier negotiation, and efficient supply chain management to support production, sales, and project delivery. The position also requires experience in importing materials from overseas, including coordination with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for tiles, mosaics, and raw materials, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment to meet company requirements.
- Manage procurement of overseas imports, including coordination with international suppliers, shipping arrangements, and required documentation.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels of tiles, mosaics, and related materials, ensuring optimal stock levels without overstocking.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to clients, projects, and branches.
- Implement inventory tracking systems and ERP tools to improve stock accuracy.
- Forecast material requirements based on sales projections and project schedules.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Supervise logistics operations, including shipping, delivery scheduling, and transportation management.
- Coordinate with fleet supervisors or drivers to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient deliveries.
- Oversee import shipments from overseas, including collaboration with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port authorities.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs documentation, and international shipping requirements.
- Address and resolve any delivery or supply chain issues promptly.
