Responsibilities:
Import Operations: Lead and manage the end-to-end import process to ensure timely and compliant product arrivals.
Shipment Planning: Develop and monitor import timelines, shipment schedules, and documentation requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with import regulations, permits, customs requirements, and government policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth import operations.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent shipment delays.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor import performance, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to management.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements and establish efficient import SOPs and operational workflows.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the Import team to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Import, Logistics, or Supply Chain, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance, and international shipping processes.
Excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Background in retail or consumer goods is a strong advantage.
