Overview:

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer based in Columbia with strong experience building scalable enterprise applications across modern Java and JavaScript ecosystems. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex operational and logistics challenges through technology.

In this role, you will work closely with US-based engineering teams, product managers, business stakeholders, and globally distributed contractors to design, develop, and support mission-critical solutions within logistics and inventory management domains. Key business areas include Outbound Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Inventory Adjustments, and Inventory Counting, with a strong focus on improving operational experiences for store employees through reliable and user-centric software solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong full stack development expertise with cloud-native engineering practices, observability, automation, and distributed systems knowledge. This position also includes participation in production support and platform modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Build reusable frontend components and ensure high performance, responsiveness, and seamless user experiences across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations supporting enterprise logistics and inventory workflows.
  • Write automated tests, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application reliability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering peers, product managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in Agile development environments.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives while contributing to overall engineering excellence.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support best practices around code quality, testing, and software design.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
  • Support containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures within AWS and GCP environments.
  • Work with Kafka and event-driven architectures to enable real-time data streaming and distributed system communication.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to improve development velocity and operational stability.
  • Lead and execute platform upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and modernization initiatives with minimal business disruption.
  • Ensure adherence to cloud security, networking, and operational best practices to maintain system reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript development.
  • Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development practices.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational database systems.
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and backend service development.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
  • Hands-on exposure to Kubernetes and containerized application deployment strategies.
  • Experience with Kafka or other event streaming and messaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
  • Familiarity with Node.js, NPM, and modern JavaScript tooling ecosystems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support capabilities.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management domains is considered a strong plus.
