Quality Assurance QA Engineer (Fully Remote)

The Role:

As a QA Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. 

How you’ll contribute to MyRepublic Digital’s success:

• Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage. 

• Scrutinize requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback. 

• Plan and coordinate testing activities, meticulously identifying and documenting bugs for prompt resolution.

• Utilize open source tools to build and execute automation scripts, enhancing testing efficiency.

• Organize testing processes for both new and existing products, aligning with client needs and expectations.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including developers and product owners, to accurately identify system requirements.

• Review results of the debugging process, ensuring thorough analysis and resolution of identified issues.

• Monitor and track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to gauge overall product quality.

• Analyze the root causes of non-conforming software and provide training to users for effective implementation of solutions.

• Stay abreast of the latest testing tools and strategies, contributing to the enhancement of our testing practices.

• Possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in a QA Engineer role.

• Demonstrated expertise working within software development teams, utilizing various software QA methodologies and tools.

• Proven track record of crafting clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Extensive experience in both white box and black box testing methodologies.

• Proficient in the use of automated testing tools to streamline testing processes.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting languages, ensuring effective testing and debugging.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development principles, contributing to a collaborative and iterative development environment.

• Previous experience in performance and/or security testing will be advantageous.
