Workshop Manager

Job Description:

Manages the overall Workshop operations, achieves on-time project delivery as agreed with Customer, maintains the required quality level, achieves targeted tonnage output and executes works within or better than budget. Manage the team on technical best practices and establish standard operation procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the workshop team. Implement continual improvement on all aspects of manufacturing system, working practices and processes.

Promotes ethical business practices and compliance to the highest standards also a culture for integrity.

Objective:

Ensuring the Workshop is uninterruptedly operated to support Company’s Objective for workshop operations that includes aim for operational excellence. Ensuring all aspects of manufacturing system, working practices and processes are running well as planned. Part of that direction, the following objectives are set:

Objectives :

1. On-time project completion as agreed with Client ==> KPI : 100% meet completion date

2. Maintain required quality level as required by the project ==> KPI : 100% meet quality requirement

3. Achieve targeted tonnage output ==> KPI : Meet output tonnage required or more

4. Spend works within or better than budget ==> KPI : Manhour spent meet budget or better

5. Improve work-process inside PPC with emphasize in the area of control ==> KPI : Process flow available, Division of Works versus Planner available, Job Des updated, each Controller achieved Production target or more.

6. Implementation of lean manufacturing improvement concept ==> KPI : Each Supervisor & Foreman implemented minimum one improvement tool in daily works

7. Speed up the forming of multi-skill workers among work-center to improve productivity ==> KPI : Identified & assigned which person will work for which work-centers, Production plan target is achieved or more.

Requirements:

• Ideally a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

• A minimum 10 years working experience in steel structure manufacturing industries or relevant industries, preferably in supervisory level or above.

• Requires tact and organizational ability to coordinate the operational issues with numerous functional departments

• Requires the initiative/intuition to analyze feedback information from people and systems, anticipates potential obstacles to success and implement preventive measures or corrective action on a timely basis

• Require strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team effort and problem-solving techniques; and also, to interact with the project stakeholders at different level to resolve issues with no harms to the project and company;

• Eager to gain knowledge and experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP) for Workshop Management

• Computer literacy using Microsoft Windows software (such as MS Office)

• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills

• Excellent teamwork and people skills

• Strong character with the ability to professionally convey and influence technical decisions of the top management;

• Excellent organizational skill

• Have the ability to evaluate sufficiency and validity of information and act accordingly without being reminded to do so, also in this manner always provide management with useful information

• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
