CAD Designer

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, supporting production planning activities, and coordinating with both local and overseas teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects, engineers, and project teams to gather product, structural, and design requirements.

• Calculate dimensions, material requirements, and weight limitations for designs and production.

• Create detailed technical drawings and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

• Prepare and review preliminary sketches and designs with the Engineering team.

• Develop diagrams, layouts, and workflow illustrations to support manufacturing and project execution.

• Identify potential operational issues and propose design improvements to enhance functionality and manufacturability.

• Prepare technical manuals and documentation describing product operation, features, and maintenance.

• Support production planning activities, including scheduling and workflow coordination.

• Initiate, develop, and maintain supply plans for components and finished products to support production requirements and customer demand.

• Generate and manage work orders with appropriate lot sizes to ensure efficient production, timely delivery, and inventory optimization.

• Monitor MRP messages and support continuous production flow.

• Analyze inventory levels and identify excess or obsolete materials while maintaining required stock levels.

• Process documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with company procedures.

• Coordinate closely with the Brisbane office and Supervisors in Batam to support project and production activities.

• Participate in ISO 9001:2015 Awareness Training and support the implementation of the company's Quality Management System.
  

Requirements

• High School, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Designer, Draftsman, Design Engineer, or similar role.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software (Tekla or similar applications are an advantage).

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering industries is preferred.

• Familiarity with production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory management is an advantage.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferably stay or domicile in Batam.
