(Senior) Project Engineer (Robotics/AMR/ROS) | Singapore-based | REMOTE

Overview
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the deployment and implementation of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solutions. You will coordinate system deployment, commissioning, technical support, and customer implementation projects while working closely with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable automation solutions. This role is primarily remote with travel to customer locations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the deployment, configuration, commissioning, validation, and performance testing of AMR systems at customer locations when required.

• Manage project execution by identifying risks, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely project delivery.

• Develop and execute simulation models to optimize system performance and deployment strategies.

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.

• Gather customer requirements and translate them into scalable AMR and automation solutions.

• Support system integration, workflow design, fleet management, and deployment planning.

• Troubleshoot robotics hardware, ROS navigation, PLCs, and integrated software systems.

• Ensure deployed systems comply with safety standards and project requirements.

• Prepare technical documentation, commissioning reports, deployment records, and system documentation.

• Deliver remote and on-site customer training and provide post-deployment technical support.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to continuously improve system performance and customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in robotics, automation, industrial systems, or related fields.

• Knowledge of robotic systems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.

• Proficiency in Robot Operating System (ROS) and Python programming.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, or system integration.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.

• Willing to travel to customer sites locally and internationally when project requirements arise.
