Senior HSE

General Summary

The Senior HSE is responsible for managing health, safety, environmental, and compliance programs across data center operations, ensuring safe day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, contractor safety, and operational readiness of critical facilities.

What you'll do

1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and operational safety standards for data center operations, maintenance, and facility support activities.

2. Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations, internal policies, permits, and critical facility safety requirements across data center sites.

3. Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures for routine operations, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and third-party service activities.

4. Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across operational areas to ensure safe work practices, housekeeping standards, and regulatory adherence.

5. Manage incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions for safety incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and environmental issues.

6. Oversee contractor and vendor HSE compliance for maintenance, repair, installation, and other site activities, including inductions, work permits, and safety monitoring.

7. Lead emergency preparedness programs, including emergency response procedures, drills, evacuation readiness, and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

8. Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, awareness programs, and ongoing coaching to employees, technicians, and contractors to strengthen safety culture and compliance awareness.

9. Prepare HSE performance reports, compliance documentation, audit findings, and improvement recommendations to support operational excellence and continuous risk reduction.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in data center operations, critical facilities, industrial operations, MEP operations, or mission-critical environments.

3. Strong understanding of operational HSE compliance, permit-to-work systems, incident investigation, contractor safety management, and emergency response.

4. Familiarity with operational risks in data centers such as electrical safety, HVAC / mechanical systems, battery / UPS areas, fire safety, and confined space.

5. Experience in conducting HSE audits, inspections, SOP implementation, compliance reporting, and safety performance monitoring.

6. Relevant certifications such as AK3 Umum, ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 knowledge, NEBOSH, or equivalent are preferred.

7. Strong communication, reporting, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

8. Able to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment and support 24/7 critical facility operations.

9. Fluent in English.
