ICT Department Head

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Department Head to lead and oversee the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) operations at PT Putra Perkasa Abadi. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta. As the ICT Department Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic technology initiatives, managing IT infrastructure, overseeing team performance, and ensuring that technology solutions align with the organisation's business objectives. This is a pivotal leadership role that will have a significant impact on the company's digital transformation and operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and managing the ICT department team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development of staff members

• Developing and implementing comprehensive ICT strategies and policies that support the company's long-term business goals

• Overseeing the planning, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks across the organisation

• Managing IT budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery

• Ensuring information security, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

• Identifying technology gaps and recommending solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity

• Directing IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget

• Providing strategic guidance on technology adoption and digital transformation initiatives

• Maintaining and improving system uptime, performance, and user support services across all departments

• Liaising with senior management and stakeholders to communicate IT strategies, progress, and recommendations

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a related field

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior ICT leadership or management position

• Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management, network administration, and systems architecture

• Strong knowledge of information security practices, cybersecurity protocols, and data protection compliance

• Experience in IT project management and digital transformation initiatives

• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage IT budgets and control operational costs

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and senior management

• Problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking with a focus on business outcomes

• Knowledge of relevant ICT regulations and compliance standards applicable in Indonesia
