Costing Accounting (Pricing & Costing)

Costing Accounting will be responsible for managing pricing and costing strategies that directly impact our operational efficiency and financial performance, a strategic role in ensuring accurate cost analysis, pricing structures, and financial planning that supports the hospital's broader business objectives and competitive positioning in the healthcare industry.

What you'll be doing

• Analyze and calculate the total cost of healthcare services, including direct and indirect costs associated with clinical and non-clinical operations

• Develop and maintain comprehensive costing models for various medical services, treatments, and departments to support accurate pricing decisions

• Establish and review pricing structures for hospital services, ensuring competitiveness whilst maintaining profitability and compliance with regulatory requirements

• Monitor and track departmental expenses against budgeted costs, identifying variances and investigating significant deviations

• Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and financial statements related to service costing and pricing for management review and strategic decision-making

• Collaborate with department heads and clinical staff to understand operational costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization

• Maintain accurate records of cost allocation across different cost centers and service lines within the hospital

• Support the development of annual budgets based on historical costing data and projected service volumes

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies in all costing and pricing activities

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management regarding pricing strategies and cost control measures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cost accounting, accounting, or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of costing methodologies, pricing strategies, and financial analysis techniques

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis

• Excellent understanding of cost allocation, overhead distribution, and margin analysis

• Proven ability to prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to senior stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
