About the Role
At Formulatrix, our Process Engineering function is divided into four distinct focus areas to drive operational excellence across every stage of production. Depending on your specific role, you will analyze and optimize end-to-end manufacturing workflows as a Process Engineer, ensure high circuit reliability and flawless Surface Mount Technology (SMT) integration as a Process Engineer - Electronics, bridge product design to shop-floor execution by automating workflows and minimizing downtime as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, or master plastic fabrication by fine-tuning molding parameters and precision tooling as an Injection Molding Process Engineer.
GENERAL PROCESS ENGINEER
What will you do?
Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to startup and certification.
Assess and evaluate production processes by taking accurate measurements and interpreting data.
Design and implement innovative processes, systems, and solutions to enhance production rates and output quality.
Manage the introduction of new products and processes into the production environment for mass production.
Maintain and reduce cost and time constraints to ensure efficient operations.
Perform risk assessments to identify potential failures in the production process through PFMEA/DFMEA.
Review design for manufacturability (ease of assembly), 2D Review, 3D Review, Develop BOM, and assembly chronology and Standard Work instruction.
What are we looking for?
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience:
Experience in process simulations and various manufacturing systems and improvements such as Kaizen, lean manufacturing, PFMEA, and PDCA.
Technical Skills:
Have an understanding of new product development process.
Have the ability to analyze statistical data.
Have the ability to use CAD/CAM (Solidwork or OnShape is a plus).
Have knowledge of process-related standards and health-safety regulations.
Have a working knowledge of using process engineering software.
Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER
What will you do?
Develop, configure, and optimize Manufacturing/CNC machining process to produce machined parts.
Assess and evaluate design to manufacture based on the 2D and 3D.
Design and implement innovative processes, systems, and solutions to enhance production rates and output quality.
Manage the introduction of new products and processes into the production environment for mass production, including the development of technical documentation.
Manage cost and time constraints to maintain operational efficiency.
Perform risk assessments (e.g., PFMEA/DFMEA) to identify potential failures in the production process.
What are we looking for?
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience:
Have experience operating CNC machines (milling, lathe, laser, bending).
Technical Skills:
Understand/be able to interpret 2D drawings for manufacturing needs.
Proficient in CAM and CAD software.
Understand the selection and application of cutting tools (cutting parameters).
Able to develop jigs/fixtures for machining process needs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS ENGINEER
What will you do?
Optimize and standardize product requirements and injection molding processes from the initial stage through to completion and certification.
Collaborate with the Injection Mold Engineering team to review designs and refine molds, manage the mold handover process (from the Engineering division to Production), and take responsibility for mold-related issues.
Conduct process and risk assessments, as well as interpret and analyze data.
Design, implement, test, and continuously improve systems and processes to ensure the best quality output.
What are we looking for?
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Experience in Injection Molding (mold processes, mold systems, mold flow analysis, etc.).
Technical Skills:
Understanding of health and safety standards.
Ability to analyze statistical data.
Proficient in CAM and CAD software.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
ELECTRONICS PROCESS ENGINEER
What will you do?
Drive and optimize industrial electronic production processes from initial inception through prototyping, trials, and certification.
Review prototype designs and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for electronic manufacturing.
Design specialized production jigs, fixtures, and tools to support electronic assembly and testing.
Create clear work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure quality and efficiency.
Collaborate cross-departmentally to continuously refine manufacturing workflows and final product performance.
Process and analyze production data to troubleshoot issues in PCB production and electronic assembly.
What are we looking for?
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
Experience:
Good understanding or experience in PCB production processes and low-power electronic circuits.
Understanding of the new product development (NPD) process.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with schematic capture software and CAD software.
Proficiency in data processing, Excel formulas, and data presentation.
Good understanding of electronic production jigs/tools design and workflow optimization.
Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Soft Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and high accountability.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
