The Role:
Lead Strategic Communications & Public Relations: Enhance the school’s visibility and reputation locally and globally through strategic digital and traditional communications
Strengthen Family & Alumni Engagement: Connect alumni and parents to the school through effective communication, events, and partnership initiatives.
Ensure Internal & External Alignment: Serve as the bridge between the education team, marketing, and parent groups to ensure consistent messaging and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Relations & Communications
Act as SVP’s spokesperson and ambassador, maintaining a consistent and positive image in all public communications.
Develop, edit, and release news and achievements about the school (students, staff, programmes) to external media through press releases, social media, newsletters, and SVP’s website.
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to help strategize and implement communications and media efforts in support of SVP.
Oversee all social media channels to ensure engaging, branded, and on-message content with Content Development Specialist.
Plan and deliver multimedia content (posts, videos, blogs, newsletters) based on the school’s communication calendar.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media and website analytics to guide improvements in content strategy and engagement.
Managing and curating the school’s visual library to ensure it builds a cohesive and meaningful visual history of the school, supporting storytelling across platforms and preserving institutional memory.
Develop communication plans and key messages in support of SVP programs and initiatives
Build relationships with local, national, and international media, ensuring coverage of key school events and milestones.
Content Creation & Internal Communications
Draft, edit, and proofread content for newsletters, annual reports, magazines, and all publications—digital or print.
Share stories and updates on school activities through timely internal communications.
Manage the process for collecting and curating photos, videos, and testimonials from students, staff, parents, and alumni.
Alumni & Family Engagement
Coordinate alumni relations initiatives: Maintain the alumni database and develop engagement opportunities (reunions, speaker series, networking, newsletters)
Facilitate active communication between alumni and current students, organizing mentorship or career day participation.
Support school events (open houses, fairs, graduation), especially in extending invitations, managing publicity, and post-event communications.
Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with community organizations, partners, and parents.
Support the Admission Supervisor with administrative tasks related to the PSG
Strategy & Measurement
Work with school leadership to define and deliver communication strategies that support enrollment, retention, and school reputation goals.
Track and report on communication KPIs (media mentions, engagement rates, event participation, website visits, newsletter open rates).
Key Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in public relations, school communications, or media. (except SVP Alumni applicants)
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Strong digital skills: social media management tools, analytics, website CMS, email marketing platforms.
Experience working with media and responding to inquiries.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects.
Creative thinking, positive attitude, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in alumni relations or community engagement is an asset.
Familiarity with international/IB schools preferred.
