Job Description:
Perform acceptance testing, commissioning, and routine quality assurance checks on diagnostic imaging hardware.
Oversee radiation protection programs, calculate room shielding requirements, and ensure facility compliance with health regulations.
Measure and estimate patient and staff radiation doses, helping to optimize protocols for high diagnostic clarity with minimal exposure.
Advise radiologists and technicians on technical imaging issues and assist with fetal dose estimates or accidental exposure investigations.
Teach radiation safety to medical staff, residents, and technologists, and participate in clinical research or trials.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
Min. 2 years experience in Medical Physicist Radiology or related field.
Completion of a clinical residency program in diagnostic imaging physics.
Professional board certification (such as from the American Board of Radiology or local equivalent).
Deep technical knowledge of imaging physics, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills to bridge engineering and patient care.
Strong assessment and critical thinking.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
