Business Analyst (Mandarin Speaker)

About the role

Conexa is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in BSD. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who wants to understand how a business actually runs, not how it's described on paper, and turn that understanding into solutions that get built.

You'll sit at the centre of every engagement: mapping real operations, spotting what's broken, designing something better, and staying with the project from the first discovery call through to a signed scope. You'll work directly with decision-makers and translate what you learn into requirements our development team can build from without guesswork.

We're open on experience level. Whether you have two years or ten, what matters is that you can do the work described below and hold your own in front of stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Map how client businesses actually operate through interviews, observation, and process analysis, and document the real workflows rather than the official ones

• Identify what's broken, inefficient, or missing in current processes, and design practical improvements grounded in how the business genuinely works

• Present and walk stakeholders through proposed solutions, explaining what we'd build, why, and what it changes for them

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with business owners, end-users, and decision-makers, in Bahasa Indonesia, English, or Mandarin depending on the client and your proficiency

• Write clear, unambiguous requirements documents, functional specifications, and use cases that developers can build from directly

• Own engagements end-to-end, from the first discovery call through analysis and solution design to a signed and agreed scope

• Work closely with our development team during delivery to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and keep the build aligned with what was scoped

• Maintain process documentation, requirement traceability, and scope records throughout each engagement

What we're looking for

• Strong analytical and structured thinking: you can take a messy, half-explained business problem and break it into something clear and solvable

• Confidence in front of decision-makers: you can lead a room, ask hard questions, push back when needed, and earn stakeholder trust

• Proven ability to write requirements and specifications that developers can act on without repeated clarification

• Skill in process mapping and workflow analysis (e.g. BPMN, flowcharts, user journeys), or the ability to pick these up quickly

• Excellent communication in Bahasa Indonesia and good working English

• Mandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is a plus, as part of our stakeholder work happens in Mandarin. If you speak it, please state your level in your application

• Ownership mentality: you stay on a problem from first contact to final agreement, without needing to be chased

• Open to all experience levels. We assess on capability, not years; relevant experience in business analysis, consulting, product, or operations is a plus
