About the role

We are seeking a Senior Flavorist to join our team at our Central Jakarta office on a full-time basis. In this strategic role, you will lead the development and innovation of flavour compounds and solutions, playing a crucial part in driving our product portfolio forward. As Senior Flavorist, you will be responsible for creating bespoke flavour profiles that meet client specifications whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position holds significant importance within our organisation, as it directly influences our competitive advantage and client satisfaction in an increasingly demanding market.

Key responsibilities

1. Flavor Development & Innovation: Independently conduct the creation and replication of sweet and/or savory flavors; develop forward-looking flavor products based on market demands and customer proposals.

2. Formulation & Technical Management: Responsible for the design, adjustment, optimization, and updating of flavor formulations; prepare relevant technical documentation (e.g., formulas, process standards).

3. Production Process Support: Guide trial production of new products; resolve technical issues encountered during scale-up to ensure consistent product quality.

4. Market & Technical Support: Assist the sales team in visiting key accounts and provide professional technical support; gain a deep understanding of customer needs and respond quickly with sample adjustments.

5. Industry Insights: Stay abreast of new raw materials, technologies, regulations, and market trends in the food flavor industry and apply this knowledge to R&D activities.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Applied Chemistry, Flavor & Fragrance Technology, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in food flavor creation, with the ability to independently handle flavor creation and replication.

  2. Familiarity with the characteristics and applications of various flavor raw materials; mastery of fundamental flavor creation principles and processes.

  3. Knowledge of food-related laws, regulations, and quality management systems.

  4. Exceptional flavor acuity; superior olfactory and gustatory discrimination skills, along with strong capabilities in flavor replication and creation.

  5. Strong sense of innovation and cost-consciousness; excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively under pressure.

6. Proficiency in English is required, can speak Mandarin is an advantage
