Freelance STEM/Coding/Robotics Educator [English Speaker]

Besides offering the AI & S.T.E.A.M. education training and certification from Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy (Ranked No 1 in AI and Robotics), we are starting to offer vocational skills training to help students become more industry-relevant.

The Tech Educator is responsible for supporting the delivery of engaging and interactive STEAM and technology-based lessons for students. This role assists in preparing lesson materials, evaluating student progress, documenting learning activities, and supporting program and marketing activities to ensure a positive and impactful learning experience.

Shift and schedule: To be discussed (approx. 2 sessions per week on weekdays, 1 or 2 hours per session)

Location: Jakarta and surrounding areas (Tangerang City, South Tangerang, and/or Depok) 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver technology and STEAM lessons in an engaging and interactive way for primary to high school students.
• Prepare lesson materials, teaching resources, equipment, and classroom logistics in advance.
• Conduct project-based learning activities, hands-on exercises, and technology-related projects aligned with learning objectives.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment while managing classroom activities effectively.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document students’ learning progress through periodic reports and photo documentation.
• Conduct training at designated locations and support programme-related activities and events as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or training experience in technology, digital skills, S.T.E.A.M., or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with block-based coding platforms such as Scratch, Code.org, or similar tools.
• Strong interest in inspiring students through technology and S.T.E.A.M. programmes.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn, adapt, and apply new technologies effectively.
• Patient, approachable, and passionate about teaching children and young adults.
• Possess a growth mindset, adaptable and flexible, with a positive attitude.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess a high degree of professionalism (e.g., in appearance and conduct).
