Job Description?
In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the host country, participate in the daily business operations of the company to ensure that all activities of the overseas branch are carried out in compliance with applicable laws. This includes but is not limited to the following:
1. Provide practical compliance advice on legal and regulatory matters in areas such as construction engineering, labor and employment, tax planning, and foreign investment access in the host country, clearly defining legal requirements and risk boundaries;
2. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and providing negotiation support for bidding documents, various contracts and agreements, external correspondence, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
3. Handle on-site legal matters related to contract performance, including but not limited to: correspondence and official letters, claims and variations, evidence preservation, project payment collection, labor compliance, and on-site dispute resolution;
4. Manage all types of legal matters, including non-litigation disputes, litigation, and arbitration, to maximize the protection of the company's legitimate rights and interests; liaise with local law firms and enforcement authorities;
5. Provide day-to-day legal advisory services and offer comprehensive legal support for business decisions and commercial negotiations;
6. Establish and improve localized legal risk control mechanisms, develop and refine internal management systems, business approval processes, and standard contract templates;
7. Compile legal compliance manuals and experience summaries for the host country, and deliver training sessions;
8. Other tasks assigned by company leadership.
Job Requirements?
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; candidates with a combined background in Law and Engineering are preferred;
2. At least 5 years of legal work experience, preferably with experience in the construction or decoration industry;
3. Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and engineering practices of the host country; experience working on projects in that country is preferred;
4. Knowledge of international engineering contract systems such as FIDIC, with experience in contract performance management for engineering projects;
5. Fluent in Mandarin and English listening, speaking, reading and writing; knowledge of the local language is preferred;
6. Strong risk analysis skills and awareness of risk prevention and control;
7. Rigorous and detail-oriented, with strong organizational coordination, logical thinking, and communication skills;
8. Strong sense of responsibility, good professional ethics, and ability to work under pressure.
