COOKS (Kitchen Staff)

About the role

LUCID CAFE, a Western Brunch & Dinner Cafe with Western & Asian Fusion Foods Style concept, is seeking Cooks to support kitchen operations. The role involves assisting the Leader in cafe re-opening preparations, managing food inventory, executing menu preparation according to cafe standards, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Leader in kitchen re-opening preparations including supplier material introduction, cooking equipment familiarization, mastering complete menu recipes with preparation methods and ingredients, and inventory management planning and stock storage according to Leader instructions

• Manage food materials in daily kitchen operations according to shift, including inventory management, material selection appropriate to menu, proper storage, and daily standard reporting

• Follow menu preparation instructions according to established cafe/restaurant standards and Owner and Leader direction

• Clean and store cooking materials and equipment properly, maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness according to Leader direction

• Perform cooking work according to kitchen task assignment and Leader direction

• Participate in regular training from Owner/Leader

• Actively contribute and create ideas for new menu offerings according to Owner/Leader direction

• Maintain teamwork with front liners and fellow Cooks

• Discuss and communicate kitchen processes, progress, and evaluations with Owner/Leader/fellow Cooks effectively

• Maintain motivation and bring positive sentiment for better, effective, and efficient kitchen team operations

About you

• Minimum Fresh Graduate, up to 25 years (SMK graduates preferred)

• Ability to use kitchen equipment safely

• Understanding of food safety standard procedures

• Ready to work in shifts

• Good communication skills

• Honest, disciplined, punctual, and responsible

• Capable, meticulous, able to follow instructions well, and able to work under pressure

• Organizational skills and good teamwork ability

• Passion for cooking and/or desire to learn cooking

• Creativity and innovative ideas; MUST have good English language ability and understanding
