The ASEAN Scholarship Mentor (Math, English, IQ Test) is a part-time, on-site role based in Denpasar. The mentor will guide students preparing for ASEAN scholarship examinations by teaching and reinforcing core concepts in mathematics and English, and by coaching them on IQ and logical reasoning tests. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, conducting practice sessions and mock tests, reviewing students’ performance, and providing individualized feedback and study plans. The mentor will collaborate with the academy team to align mentoring strategies with scholarship requirements and maintain accurate records of student progress. The role also involves communicating with learners and guardians about goals, expectations, and improvement strategies in a professional and supportive manner.
Qualifications
- Strong subject mastery in Mathematics, including problem-solving and logical reasoning skills relevant to scholarship exams.
- High proficiency in English, including grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and test-taking strategies.
- Ability to teach and coach IQ, aptitude, and critical thinking tests, with experience in analytical reasoning and pattern recognition.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring students, ideally for competitive exams, scholarships, or study abroad programs.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to diverse learners.
- Organizational skills for lesson planning, progress tracking, and maintaining structured study schedules for multiple students.
- Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered mentoring approach, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and encouraging environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, Psychology, or a related field is preferred; relevant teaching or mentoring certifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with ASEAN scholarship requirements or international education pathways is beneficial.
