What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities
Relationship Building and Partnership Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of strategic relationships to increase awareness of and engagement with Healthier Generation initiatives, connect health and learning, and advance policies and practices that improve whole child health.

  • Identify key individuals working across the school community, who can serve as champions, to collaborate on whole child health initiatives that meet mutually established deliverables and goals.

  • Convene partners at the local, state, and/or national level to increase awareness and advocacy of, connection to, and collaboration on the integration of whole child health topics.

Project Management and Implementation

  • Facilitate coaching, consultation, technical assistance, and capacity-building for partners on HG tools, resources and best practices that support the implementation of whole child health initiatives.

  • Conduct activities that support continuous improvement with district and/or school leadership teams (e.g. support in building teams, data collection and assessment, data analysis and goal setting, action planning, and measuring impact of project goals).

  • Report project progress and results through formal and informal reporting procedures, including contributing to grant reports, providing project updates, and tracking progress using various technology systems, such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Knowi.

  • Support the development, implementation, and/or promotion of org-wide initiatives (i.e. America’s Healthiest School Awards, Leaders’ Summit, etc.), leveraging it to elevate best practices and expand engagement across key health topics.

Stewardship

  • Write and/or promote success stories, best practices, exemplars, and lessons learned to highlight program and organizational impact.

  • Advance HG’s Culture of Philanthropy by serving as an ambassador for the organization by fostering relationships with mission-aligned partners and increasing brand awareness through verbal and digital communications.

  • In partnership with Programs leadership, support regional/national strategy and assist in the development of concepts and proposals as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of experience working in schools, public health, out-of-school time, or other youth environments.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant education and experience.

Other Requirements

  • Knowledge of public health systems, school health, or community-based programming preferred

  • Familiarity with grant compliance, evaluation frameworks, and outcome measurement

  • Experience working with cross-sector partners (e.g., government, education, healthcare, nonprofit organizations)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, as needed, to support program implementation, partner engagement, and organizational priorities

At Healthier Generation, each position is aligned with a salary grade determined by market data. The salary range for this position is $62,800 - $94,200. The expected hiring range is around $70,000, though actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

This position is funded by a three-year grant. Continuation beyond is contingent upon funding.
