Global Prestasi School (GPS) Bandung is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our world-class faculty. Job Description
Your role will focus on developing linguistic proficiency and cultural literacy among our students. Key responsibilities include:
- Instructional Excellence: Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cover listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Curriculum Integration: Developing teaching materials that align with the school's standards and international language proficiency benchmarks (such as HSK/YCT).
- Cultural Engagement: Organizing and leading cultural activities (e.g., Chinese New Year celebrations, calligraphy, or traditional arts) to immerse students in the heritage behind the language.
- Student Progress Tracking: Conducting regular assessments, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining records of student achievement.
- Classroom Environment: Creating a positive, encouraging, and disciplined atmosphere that motivates students to communicate in Mandarin.
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chinese Language Education, Chinese Literature, or a related field.
- Language Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Mandarin (HSK Level 5 or 6 preferred) and fluency in English to facilitate communication within our multicultural staff.
- Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience teaching Mandarin, preferably in an international or national-plus school setting.
- Pedagogical Skills: Familiarity with modern second-language acquisition techniques and the ability to use interactive technology in the classroom.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and a high level of cultural sensitivity.
